comfortably numb by dave gilmour

this is a great song, 4th best on the album in my opinion after 1st: goodbye blue sky 2nd:another brick in the wall part 3 and 3rd: one of my turns its that “why are you running away” bit that i really like. Anyway this is performed well, the singings a little off but its still got the great guitar solo (it made second in a poll) its good dave is still going at his age enjoy!

It just doesn’t get much higher than this…wthout blasting off into outerspace. Like a low orbit where you can still see…EVERYTHING. FYI, this was supposed to be a tune on David’s 1978 solo album and didn’t quite make it…so it evolved into a piece on The Wall. It’s not to say I think it would have been better without Roger Water’s ugly fingerprint on it. It’s a great song as a FLOYD song. I’d still bee interested to to hear Dave’s personal first studio outtakes on it pre-Wall.

@surfinspirit
That is correct the red guitar strat is from Hank and both Mark and Dave were deeply inspired by the red flamingo strat (made in Japan)
Me too love these 3 genius

Hey don’t forget the “spiritual guiding father ” of both ( which are my most played by me on guitar) HANK MARVIN , both Mark and David admit so!

Gilmour and Knopfler both have this sparky thing called…emotion. They are the two best guitarist for me =)
